Become a Protagonist of Art: Participate in "Bellinzona Secret Garden" with Yuri Catania
The heart of Bellinzona is about to transform into a vibrant mosaic of colors, and you are invited to play your part. In the coming weeks, the staircase connecting Via Cancelliere Molo to the Cinema Forum (near the FFS Station) will come to life thanks to "Bellinzona Secret Garden," an innovative participatory street art project conceived by Yuri Catania.
This is not merely a simple aesthetic decoration, but a true urban regeneration project aimed at enhancing the identity of the neighborhood. The artwork will deeply explore a highly relevant theme: the delicate relationship between humanity, nature, and technology.
A Living and Eco-Sustainable Artwork
The visual protagonists of this installation will be flowers. Yuri Catania has "captured" with his camera lens the flora of the Villa dei Cedri Park and his personal garden in Rovio, where he lives and works. These beautiful floral images will take shape on completely biodegradable materials. The ephemeral nature of the work guarantees that, as time passes, the flowers will naturally disperse without polluting the environment, yet leaving an indelible mark in the memory of those who helped create it.
As the artist himself emphasizes, "Citizens must be able to feel involved and be protagonists". Art thus becomes a powerful catalyst for spontaneous community gathering, creating unexpected bonds and a shared sense of responsibility between people who might not otherwise cross paths.
How to Participate: Your Contribution to the Secret Garden
The invitation is open to everyone: no technical artistic skills are required, just the desire to get involved, armed with scissors, paste, and your own creative instinct. Alongside the students of the municipal schools and the guests of the city's nursing homes, anyone can join this grand collective performance under the direct guidance of Yuri Catania.

The Dates: The weekends of September 19-20, September 26-27, and October 3-4.
The Times: From 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM (weather permitting).
Who can join: There are no restrictions, the activity is suitable for everyone, starting from 3 years of age. The only rule is that minors must always be accompanied by an adult.
The Action: Participants will cut out the printed reproductions of the flowers and paste them on the steps and side walls of the staircase, collectively composing the great secret garden.
